CORX Basic Strategies

Corx can be played very simply, or with elaborate strategy. The most effective Corx player will use some combination of the following basic strategies, depending upon the number of players, and the circumstances of the game or match. Marching   This strategy involves a determined “march” across the game board with one or more Blocks, for the purpose of capturing another player’s Base. Centering This strategy focuses on maintaining control of Center Space, which enables a player to capture other players’ corks without sacrificing her/his own. Attacking This strategy involves the aggressive capture of as many opponents’ corks as possible, even while sacrificing one’s own corks.
